European leaders have expressed concerns that US President Donald Trump may blame the European Union (EU) for Ukraine's military failures. This was reported on September 25 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

"European officials fear that Donald Trump's recent statements on Ukraine are aimed at setting them an impossible task that will allow the US president to shift the blame from Washington if Kiev is defeated in the <conflict> or runs out of money," the article says.

It is noted that after such statements, which look like a radical change in Trump's position, European politicians began to doubt his reliability as an ally.
