Veronica Dragalin, the former Prosecutor General of Moldova for the fight against corruption, accused the country's president, Maya Sandu, of her dismissal and disruption of the fight against corruption. On August 22, she informed the pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who called her under the guise of the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Semyon Krivonos. The prankers posted a recording of the conversation on their Telegram channel.

"The president herself asked me to resign, and she has been very hostile to me for the last six months of my stay there... She basically just said that she needed me to leave the post. And when I tried to figure out exactly why, what I did, what I didn't do, what the problem was, she couldn't really answer me," she confessed.

During the conversation, the ex-prosecutor accused the Moldovan authorities, singling out the president separately, of putting pressure on the investigation and unwillingness to fight corruption. In addition, she noted that the staff of the Presidential Administration (AP) attempted to interfere in the work of the anti-corruption agency.

At the same time, according to Dragalin, the European Union was very pleased with the results of the prosecutor's team's work.

On April 17, the opposition left the meeting room of the Moldovan parliament before a speech by President Maia Sandu. It is specified that the deputies from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) left the hall. Representatives of the opposition have repeatedly criticized the course of the head of state towards integration into the European Union (EU). In addition, those who disagree with Sandu's course accused the authorities of pressure.
