The head of Naftogaz announced the complete destruction of oil refining in Ukraine

Ukraine has lost about 42% of its daily gas production as a result of Russian strikes on infrastructure. This was stated on September 22 by Sergey Koretsky, Chairman of the Management Board of Naftogaz, in an interview with The Washington Post (WP) newspaper.

He noted that the oil refining industry in the country has been destroyed. According to Koretsky, some of the energy facilities have been restored, but the country is preparing for new possible strikes.

Earlier, on September 8, the Reuters news agency reported that Ukraine indirectly imports Russian oil by purchasing it from India and Slovakia. According to the newspaper, the loss of oil refineries by Ukraine forced traders to compensate for this by importing diesel fuel from India, which imports a significant part of its oil from Russia.
