Passenger electric train caught fire in Kuban
In the Kanevsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, on 1,486 km of railway tracks between the villages of Novominskaya and Staroderevyankovskaya, the Krasnodar-1 – Novominskaya electric train caught fire, the fire was extinguished. This was reported on September 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"The last three cars were on fire, the fire area was 200 square meters. m. Passengers evacuated on their own. They were taken to the Novominskaya railway station by a bus from the district administration," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the fire was extinguished at 15:27 Moscow time. However, no one was injured in the incident. 18 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and six pieces of equipment worked at the site.
According to preliminary data, the fire in the electric train occurred due to a short circuit, and investigators are checking, according to the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
In April, the locomotive of a freight train ignited between Snezhnitsa and Kacha stations in the Yemelyanovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The fire was extinguished by the special services that arrived at the scene.
