At least five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) shot down in Poland on the night of September 10 were allegedly aimed at the logistics center and airport of Rzeszow. This was reported on September 20 by Der Spiegel magazine, citing sources in NATO.

According to the sources of the publication, the drones entered the republic through the territory of Belarus. They were shot down by Dutch F-35 fighters.

According to the article, there were more than 20 drones in total. The border with Ukraine is less than 70 km from Rzeszow. Its airport is an important transshipment point for the supply of weapons and military supplies to the neighboring republic.

On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the airspace of the state. Later, Reuters, citing sources in NATO, said that the alliance did not regard the incident with the drone in Poland as an attack.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Poland's baseless accusations against Russia against the background of the drone incident are part of the anti-Russian rhetoric familiar to Europe.
