A new modification of the Valdai 12 truck was introduced in Russia
Russia has developed a new modification of the Valdai 12 truck. The special equipment is built on a chassis with an extra-long wheelbase and has a Euro platform that allows loading 20 standard Euro pallets. This is stated in the message of the company "Modern Transport Technologies" ("CTT"), which was received by Izvestia on September 19.
The Euro platform measures 8.4×2.48×2.7 m. The superstructure is equipped with a sliding roof with side curtains, which speed up the loading and unloading processes. The sides are made of aluminum with a height of 600 mm, the load is protected by a seal along the entire length and rubber bumpers during operation. The flooring is made of moisture-resistant laminated plywood with a thickness of 21 mm and is equipped with 14 rigging rings.
For ease of operation, a retractable galvanized ladder, a plastic handrail and a door frame lock in the open position are provided. Safety is additionally ensured by contour diode lights, reflective elements and a rear anti-roll bar.
The Valdai 12 has a gross weight of 12 tons and is equipped with a YaMZ-53445 diesel engine producing 170 hp (662 Nm). It is powered by a 6-speed gearbox with a higher boost. An air rear suspension is provided.
On April 11, a new model of a fuel tanker truck on the chassis of a Valdai 12 bonnetless truck was introduced in the Russian Federation. Such equipment is intended for transportation of light oil products, refueling of special equipment at the point of operation and households.
