Polish authorities have confirmed that an F-16 missile hit a residential building.

During an operation to destroy drones, an apartment building in Poland was hit by a missile fired from an F-16 fighter jet to shoot down an alleged Russian drone (UAV). This was announced on September 17 by the Minister-coordinator of the country's special services, Tomasz Semoniak, on the TVN channel.

"Everything points to the fact that it was a missile fired by our aircraft defending Poland, protecting our citizens," he said.

He noted that the Polish military will cover the damage.

How the West uses the drone incident to further militarize

Earlier, on September 10, the operational command of the branches of the Armed Forces of Poland reported the destruction by the Polish military of several drones that violated the airspace of the republic. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the incident with the invasion of the country's airspace a large-scale provocation.

Later, on September 17, another fallen drone was found, allegedly from Russia. It is noted that the unmanned aerial vehicle fell in the forest and hung on the trees.
