Axios informed about US support for Israel's ground operation in Gaza
The White House supports Israel's ground operation in Gaza City, but it must be completed as soon as possible, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was reported by the Axios portal on Monday, September 15.
"Two Israeli officials reported that Rubio informed Netanyahu that the administration of [US President Donald] Trump supports the ground operation, but wants it to be implemented quickly and completed as soon as possible," the publication says.
At the same time, the American source of the portal noted that Trump does not intend to stop Israel's actions.
"This is not Trump's war, this is Netanyahu's war, and he will be responsible for everything that happens next," the source said.
