- The British Foreign Office summoned the Russian ambassador due to the situation with UAVs in Poland and Romania.
The British Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian Ambassador to London, Andrei Kelin, because of the situation with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Poland and Romania. This was announced on September 15 on the website of the British government.
They noted that the violation of the airspace of Poland and Romania allegedly by Russian drones is unacceptable.
"The UK stands in solidarity with Poland, Romania, Ukraine and its NATO allies and condemns these actions...> steps," the Cabinet said in a statement.
On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the country's airspace. On September 13, Antena 3 reported the interception of an alleged Russian UAV by the Romanian Air Force.
In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Poland's baseless accusations against Russia against the background of the drone incident are part of the anti-Russian rhetoric familiar to Europe. Russia's permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, commenting on the incident with the UAV, also pointed to Ukraine's ill-considered attempts to involve other states in the conflict.
