On September 13, British Interior Minister Shabana Mahmoud threatened to respond to the law to protesters in London who attacked police officers.

"The right to peaceful protest is fundamental for this country. But I condemn those who attacked and injured police officers. Anyone who takes part in criminal activity will answer to the fullest extent of the law," she wrote in X (ex. Twitter).
