Four people died in Tatarstan when a boat capsized.
In Tatarstan, four people died as a result of a boat capsizing on the Volga. This was announced on September 12 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"A boat carrying seven people capsized and sank near the village of Oktyabrsky on the Volga River. Three people were able to escape, four people drowned," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that rescuers found two bodies of the dead, the search for two more continues. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the capsized vessel was designed for six passengers, but there were seven people on board. Previously, people were without life jackets.
The head of the press service of the Zelenodolsk district, Regina Chibrikova, told Izvestia that two injured girls had been taken to a local hospital. Doctors found out that one of them is expecting a baby.
"Now she is being examined by specialists, she is undergoing ultrasound, there are no preliminary injuries," she clarified.
The second girl, according to her, refused to be hospitalized.
Earlier, on August 17, a pleasure boat caught fire in the bay of Minosok in Primorsky Krai. As a result of this incident, there were no casualties, but the boat sank.
