A situation center for public election monitoring has been opened in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation

On September 11, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation hosted the opening of the situational center for public election observation.

"Election campaigns are taking place, and control is being carried out everywhere, at all levels...> There are our volunteers here who participate in the work, and they will participate all this time, all election days," said Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the OP.

According to him, the center has trained almost 73,000 observers from 56 regions of the Russian Federation. Grigoriev also stressed that the center will pay special attention to monitoring elections in the border regions.

According to Alena Bulgakova, Executive Director of the Association of Independent Public Monitoring (NOM), the methodology for training observers is improving every year. This year, the focus was on improving the professionalism of the observers. Teachers who train observers also received intensive training.

"Today, there are more than 900 of our colleagues in our pool of electoral experts. Public observers today are active participants in the electoral process," Bulgakova stressed.

In addition, she pointed out the reliability of the system for responding to possible problems during the elections. So, during the training, the volunteers worked out a mechanism of action in the face of problems with communication or Internet connection.

"We are also ready for such challenges," the NOM Executive Director concluded.

On September 11, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia launched an information center, where all data on the course of the elections in the regions, which will be held on September 12-14, will be streamed online. CEC Chairman Ella Pamfilova clarified that special attention will be paid to the security of the elections.
