On Monday, September 15, another lesson from the series "Conversations about important things" will take place in Russian schools and colleges. It will be held on the eve of the international music competition "Intervision-2025" and will be dedicated to the development of creative abilities. Izvestia tells us how the lesson will go in different classes.
"Talking about important things" on September 15 — the topic of the lesson
The topic of the new lesson is "Creativity that unites". Its purpose is to form students' value—based attitude to creativity, understanding the role of art in personal development and spiritual enrichment, as well as awareness of the importance of Russian culture as part of the world heritage and motivation to develop their own creative abilities.
On the eve of the International Music Day and the international song contest Intervision 2025, the final of which will be held in Moscow on September 20, the main focus is on the country's musical traditions. Students will discuss what such contests are for, and they will talk about great Russian composers and family musical preferences.
Yuri Aksyuta, the chief producer of music and entertainment programs on Channel One, Honored Artist of Russia, a commentator on Eurovision and one of the organizers of the 2009 contest in Moscow, will join the conversation in a video interview format. With his direct participation, such television programs as "Star Factory", "Golden Gramophone", "The Voice" and others were also launched.
The lesson will be held in the format of an educational conversation with interactive elements, its duration will be 30 minutes. Methodological materials and recommendations are published on the website of the Conversations about Important project.
"Conversations about important things" on September 15 — lesson program
Primary school students (first to fourth grades) will discuss what a person can create with the help of words, music, paints and other visual means, who can be called a creative person and which type of creativity is closest to them. During the lesson, they will watch a fragment of the animated film "Doremi" and perform an interactive lesson "The Seasons", dedicated to the unique union of music and painting.
Then students will learn how modern culture develops, including music, using the example of the Intervision competition, a large—scale event in the world of music that first took place in 1965. The music competition was watched on TV by the grandparents of today's schoolchildren. In 2025, on the initiative of our country, Intervision will once again unite dozens of countries around the world, where each artist will show the identity of his people by singing a song in his native language.
However, every student can not only observe the work of famous artists, artists and performers, but also learn new things himself by trying different creative directions, for example, in children's art schools, school clubs and sections. Students in grades 5-7 will talk about how creativity contributes to personal development and its unifying force.
Then they will watch the video "Music that unites", dedicated to the most anticipated event of the year — the contest "Intervision-2025". Students will learn why musical communication between countries is important, and music with a national flavor is becoming more and more popular these days. Students will also talk about their own creative experiences and what inspires them to create.
In grades 8-9, the conversation will complement the story of folk art: crafts, paintings, music, legends and tales that have been passed down from generation to generation, becoming the foundation of classical art and culture in Russia. After that, students will have to answer the teacher's questions: why is Russian culture the greatest in the world and why it is important to preserve and enhance it. In addition, they will talk about how the Intervision music competition helps preserve the national identity of Russian and other peoples.
In grades 10-11, the concept of "creativity" will be considered in a broader perspective. In particular, they will talk about which areas of life, in addition to art, you can show your creative abilities, how creativity shapes the spiritual and moral values of society, and whether the creativity of one person can influence the development of an entire state.
College students will talk about what creativity is, how to develop it, and how it contributes to career development.
