The military wing of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement, the Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Jerusalem on Monday, September 8. The statement was posted on the Hamas Telegram channel on September 9.
"The Al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades are claiming responsibility for the shooting that took place yesterday morning, Monday," the statement said.
According to CNN, at least six people were killed in the incident. Casualties were also reported.
