The weather forecaster named the time of the beginning of the formation of snow cover in Moscow

Autumn in Moscow will last at least until mid-November, and snow cover will begin to form by the end of the month. This was announced by meteorologist, leading specialist of the Phobos weather Center Evgeny Tishkovets in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, September 9.

"The meteorological autumn will last at least until mid-November, after which the average daily air temperature will steadily fall below zero, precipitation will fall mainly in the solid phase. By the end of November, a snow cover will begin to form," the Moscow City News agency quoted the forecaster as saying.

Tishkovets noted that winter weather will come in the city according to the calendar.

"The first month of winter will be close to normal in terms of temperature, there will be no shortage of snowfall and snowdrifts," he concluded.

In turn, the chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, told the website kp.ru It is noted that the duration of the warm period in the capital and in central Russia as a whole has increased by 10 days over the past 30 years. According to the expert, it is not summer, not the period of hot weather, but spring and autumn that have become longer.

The heat in Central Russia will return only at the end of August and will remain at the beginning of September, meteorologists believe.

Earlier in the day, the Hydrometeorological Center promised partly cloudy weather in the capital on September 9.

The day before, Pozdnyakova predicted the air temperature in Moscow during the day of the week from +22 to +24 degrees, RT reports.
