China has imposed personal sanctions on Japanese Senator Hay Seki due to anti-Chinese actions that are directed against the country's sovereignty. This was announced on September 8 on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"Japanese Senator Hei Seki has long been spreading misconceptions about issues such as Taiwan, the Diaoyu Islands, history, Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong, and also openly visits Yasukuni Shrine. This seriously contradicts the spirit of the four Sino-Japanese political documents and the one—China principle, is a serious interference in China's internal affairs, and significantly undermines the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the statement said.

It is noted that in this regard, it was decided to freeze the movable and immovable property of the politician on the territory of the People's Republic of China, as well as to ban any organization or person in China from participating in any transactions or cooperating with him.

In addition, the senator and his relatives will not be issued visas to visit the country. From now on, they are barred from entering the republic.

Earlier, on September 4, the United States added three foreign non—governmental organizations to the sanctions list - Al-Haq, the Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. It clarifies that the associations are allegedly "directly involved in the efforts of the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute Israeli citizens without Israel's consent."
