13.5 million trips were made at four stations of the Troitskaya line of the Moscow metro.

A year ago, the first four stations of the Troitskaya metro line opened — Tyutchevskaya, Generala Tyuleneva, Peoples' Friendship University and Innovatorskaya. Since the launch, 13.5 million trips have been made at these stations. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Sunday, September 7.

He noted that this has improved the transport accessibility of areas where about 800,000 people live. It has become easier for passengers to get to major facilities, including the Rudn University, and the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Sokolnicheskaya lines have been unloaded.

Sobyanin also said that in December 2024, three more stations were opened — Kornilovskaya, Kommunarka and Novomoskovskaya, which made it possible to transfer to the Sokolnicheskaya Line, the Moscow City News agency reports.

He added that from the first day, Moscow-2024 trains with modern air conditioning systems, wide doors and convenient inter-car crossings have been operating on the new branch. The Stolbovo depot has been opened for their maintenance, and by 2030 it is planned to build the Troitskoye electric depot.

On August 27, Maxim Gaman, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, said that the Academic and Krymskaya stations of the Troitskaya Metro line had begun running in and cargo testing of escalator equipment. The equipment is manufactured at a factory in St. Petersburg. The service life of the installed escalators is 50 years, according to NSN.

On August 26, Sergei Sobyanin said that 60 new metro stations are planned to open in the capital by 2035. He noted that the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya, Biryulevskaya and Troitskaya metro lines are currently being built as planned. kp.ru . It is planned that about 70% of the total planned work will be completed by its opening. Yefimov previously noted that a new section of the Troitskaya line, including the Vavilovskaya station, is planned to open in September, notes 360.ru . In total, construction is currently underway at 16 stations on three metro lines at once.

On August 8, the first electric depot, Stolbovo, was put into operation in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts (TiNAO). The new transport facility will serve the Troitskaya metro line, and after the launch of the Troitskoye electric depot, the Sokolnicheskaya Line as well.
