On August 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of Midshipman Sergei Mukienko, who performed combat missions as part of an engineering reconnaissance and mining group in the area near the line of contact. Mukiyenko received an order to mine two intersections, through which, according to preliminary information, a convoy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and heavy armored vehicles were supposed to pass.

Despite the fact that the Ukrainian militants constantly conducted reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the midshipman, using shelters, got close to the intersections and completed the task. During the withdrawal, he also destroyed an enemy UAV that was chasing him.

Thanks to Mukiyenko's confident actions, the enemy column was destroyed, and heavy equipment was disabled.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry pointed to the actions of Senior Sergeant Alexei Soroka, who was carrying out a combat mission to defend a given area. At night, he noticed an enemy sabotage group approaching the Russian Armed Forces stronghold. Soroka immediately reported this to the command, after which he bypassed the Ukrainian militants and opened fire with a grenade launcher.

During the confrontation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces sabotage group suffered significant losses and was forced to flee to a nearby forest belt, where it was destroyed by units of Russian attack aircraft.

Thanks to the courageous actions of Senior Sergeant Soroka, the enemy's plans to conduct reconnaissance operations and attack the Russian stronghold were thwarted.
