On August 29, US President Donald Trump called the decision of the Court of Appeal, which recognized most of the trade duties imposed on other countries as illegal, erroneous.

"All tariffs are still valid! Today, an extremely biased appeals court incorrectly stated that our tariffs should be abolished, but they know that the United States of America will eventually win," he said in a message posted on the Truth Social network.

Trump noted that the abolition of tariffs could turn into a "catastrophe" for the United States, which would weaken and destroy the state. According to the American leader, Washington no longer intends to tolerate "unfair trade tariffs imposed by other countries," so its duties are the best tool for helping American manufacturers and companies.

On August 30, Reuters reported that the U.S. Court of Appeals had declared the imposition of most of Trump's tariffs illegal. It was clarified that the tariffs would be in effect until October 14, 2025, so that the Trump office would have the opportunity to appeal to the US Supreme Court.
