An envelope with cartridges addressed to the head of the Interior Ministry was intercepted in Serbia.

An envelope with bullets intended for the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dacic, was found in the Serbian government building while sorting mail. This was announced on August 29 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia on Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

It is reported that the package was checked on an X-ray machine for security reasons, and three bullets were found in the envelope.

"The police have identified and found the person who delivered the package, and further work is underway to determine all the circumstances of the event. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking all legally established measures and actions to protect the safety of citizens and institutions of the Republic of Serbia," the ministry said in a statement.

Another protest rally took place on the streets of Belgrade on August 11. At that time, the protesters asked for the arrest of the President of the republic, Alexander Vucic, after unknown persons doused the entrances of three opposition leaders with paint. On August 12, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) and its supporters.

On August 17, Vucic promised to take decisive action against the unrest in Serbia. On August 18, anti-government protesters in Serbia smashed windows in one of the Belgrade offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party. The protesters used pyrotechnics and threw stones. On August 23, protesters blocked a roundabout in the town of Obrenovac. After that, the crowd along the traffic jam went to the city center, chanting calls for the resignation of the government.
