Israel has attacked military installations of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon. This was announced on August 28 by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"Some time ago, the Israel Defense Forces attacked a number of Hezbollah terrorist targets in several areas in southern Lebanon, including a rocket launcher," the IDF wrote on its Telegram channel.

The report stressed that the presence of such "terrorist facilities" in the area is a violation of the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

Earlier, on August 22, the IDF announced a strike on an arms depot of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon. According to the army's press service, the presence of a weapons depot is also a violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

On August 25, Israel expressed its readiness to support Lebanon's efforts to disarm Hezbollah. It was noted that the decision of the Lebanese Council of Ministers to work on disarmament represents a crucial opportunity for Beirut to restore sovereignty and restore the authority of State institutions and the army.
