The FSB stopped the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Czech drones on the cities of the DPR

Over the past day, employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) thwarted a massive terrorist attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Makeyevka and Dokuchaevsk. This was announced on August 28 by the press service of the department.

It is specified that it was possible to disrupt the attack thanks to the Donbass Dome electronic warfare system. According to the agency, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun using new models of Czech-made FP-1 attack drones, which are a cheap analogue of the British Storm Shadow and the French SCALP. It is noted that they are capable of delivering a warhead weighing up to 120 kg at a distance of over 1.6 thousand km.

It is also clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use combined attack tactics, launch "false drones" to hide from the air defense forces and distract electronic warfare (EW) systems. Subsequently, they launch an attack using FP-1, armed with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead OFB-60-YAU with a total explosive mass of over 60 kg and damaging elements.

As a result of the interception of Ukrainian drones, it was possible to prevent multiple human casualties and significant damage to the region's infrastructure. Explosives experts from the regional FSB of the Russian Federation successfully neutralized the suppressed drones and eliminated the warheads.

By its actions, the "war party" wants to disrupt peace initiatives, experts say.

Earlier, on August 26, the FSB of Russia prevented a terrorist attack by an Armed Forces drone on a large gas station in Makeyevka in the DPR. It was clarified that the attack was also prevented thanks to the electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass".
