The weather forecaster predicted warm and clear weather on September 1 in Moscow
The capital's schoolchildren and their parents will enjoy comfortable and summery warm weather on Knowledge Day. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, Chief Specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on August 26.
According to her, mostly sunny and dry weather without precipitation is expected in Moscow on September 1. The temperature regime will be significantly higher than the climatic norm: in the afternoon, the thermometer will rise to + 25 degrees, and in the morning, when students will go to the rulers, they will also be pleased with the warmth.
"In the morning, when the students go, the temperature will also be high, because the minimum temperature somewhere will be +15...+16 degrees, which means that in the morning it will be a couple of degrees warmer, that is, neither umbrellas nor warm jackets will be useful on September 1," the forecaster noted.
The weather situation in Moscow and the surrounding areas of the Central District will be determined by the area of high atmospheric pressure. It is this factor that will ensure the absence of rain, sunny and warm weather. Most of the region will be influenced by southern air currents, which explains the temperature background, which exceeds the usual values for this time of year by 2-3 degrees.
Windy weather, Pozdnyakova added, is also not predicted, which will make the first autumn day especially pleasant for walks and festive events.
On August 25, Pozdnyakova told Izvestia that despite the fact that over the coming week the temperature in Moscow will be 3-4 degrees below the climatic norm, a "surge of heat" is expected by August 30-31.
