"As a result of typhoon Kajiki, which brought torrential rains and strong winds, at least three people were killed and 13 others injured in the provinces of Phu Tho, Tai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ngean, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri," the publication says.

Floods and strong winds caused by the typhoon also damaged or lost the roofs of more than 6, 8 thousand houses, flooded 28.8 hectares of rice fields, destroyed 2.2 hectares of other crops and toppled almost 18 thousand trees.

More than 44,000 people from 18.5 thousand households were evacuated to safer places.

As the newspaper pointed out, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority issued an order temporarily suspending the reception and dispatch of aircraft at two airports in the central part of the country, which are located in areas located directly in the typhoon's zone of influence. 35 flights were canceled, and 30 more were redirected to other airports.

On the eve of August 25, it was reported that hundreds of Russian tourists were stranded in Hainan due to typhoon Kajiki. All the tourists who could not return were accommodated in hotels. According to Ivan Rymar, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Guangzhou, Russian tourists may have the opportunity to return home tonight or in the morning on August 26 as weather conditions improve.
