- Lavrov denied the alleged attack by the Russian Armed Forces on the plant that produced coffee machines.
Russia has never, under any circumstances, intentionally chosen targets unrelated to the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on August 25 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We have never attacked civilian targets that you mentioned," he said in an interview with the American television channel NBC News, answering a question about an alleged Russian attack on an American-owned factory that produced coffee machines and other electronics.
Lavrov stressed that Russian intelligence has reliable information on this issue. He noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation strike exclusively at military installations or enterprises that are directly involved in arming the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The minister also clarified that Ukraine itself "deliberately" attacked churches and civilian settlements of the Russian Federation. According to him, he had not heard about the attack by the Russian military on the factory and added that some people "are really naive when they see a coffee machine in the window and believe that it is here that coffee machines are made."
On the night of August 22-23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to attack an oil refinery and civilian infrastructure facilities in the Seversky district of the Krasnodar Territory. It was clarified that fragments of drones were also found near a railway crossing in the village of Lvovskoye. In all cases, there was no damage or casualties.
