The number of injured civilians in the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Rylsk in the Kursk region has increased to two. This was announced on August 24 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

"As a result of the strike on the city, two people were injured. The second victim, a 43—year-old man, is in a moderate condition and is being transported by ambulance to the Kursk Regional Hospital," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Khinstein, as a result of the shelling, an apartment building and 11 private houses were damaged, their facades were cut off, and windows were blown out. In addition, about 10 garages and nine cars were damaged, one private house and an outbuilding were completely destroyed by fire.

"Additional fire crews have been sent to the site to fight the fire. Operational services are working on the ground," he said.

Earlier that day, Khinstein reported on one victim as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Rylsk in the Kursk region. According to him, several strikes were recorded in the city, there is damage to residential buildings.
