A man and a teenager were injured in a collision between a jet ski and a boat near Saratov

A man and a 13-year-old teenager were injured in a collision between a jet ski and a motorboat on Lake Sazanka in Engels, Saratov region. This was announced on August 22 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"A jet ski and a motorboat collided on the Sazanka River. <...> Two people were injured — a man and a 13-year—old teenager," reads a message posted on the Telegram channel.

According to the agency, the incident occurred in the area of the railway bridge. It is specified that this is the fifth such incident involving small vessels in the region this year.

On August 6, two minors were injured as a result of a jet ski hitting a board in Primorsky Krai. They were hospitalized, and they also received the necessary medical care. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 1.2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of water transport, resulting in serious harm to health").
