Awards were given to the families of those killed due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the beach in Kursk

On August 22, Acting Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein handed over regional awards to the families of those killed on July 8 due to the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the beach in Kursk.

"Today, on the Day of the National Flag of Russia, I presented awards of the Kursk region "For loyalty to duty and courage" to the relatives of the victims," Khinstein wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, it was decided to award the victims posthumously with a regional award, which is usually awarded to defenders of the Fatherland. He added that those people deserve it, because at the moment of the enemy attack they covered up those who happened to be nearby.

Khinstein clarified that memorial plaques will be erected in honor of the victims at the schools where they studied.

"Anatoly Minashkin. Vyacheslav Gavrilov. Alexey Kamenev. Artem Larin. We are proud of them, and we remember them," the acting governor added.

On July 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the Gorodskiy beach in Kursk. As a result of the attack, three people were killed on the spot, Khinstein reported. Seven people were injured in the Ukrainian strike, including a five-year-old boy. The next day, the child died during transportation to Moscow. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case on the attack.
