The IDF announced an attack on Hezbollah facilities and infrastructure in Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has attacked military installations and infrastructure of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. This was announced on August 20 by the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.
"The Israel Defense Forces recently attacked terrorist infrastructure facilities, weapons depots and a Hezbollah terrorist organization launcher in southern Lebanon," the statement said.
It is clarified that the reason for the attack was a violation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon due to the availability of Hezbollah's appropriate weapons and infrastructure.
On this day, the IDF launched an offensive on the city of Gaza, located in the Palestinian enclave of the same name. It is noted that Israel currently controls the outskirts of the city.
Also, in preparation for the operation to capture the city of Gaza, the IDF called up 60,000 troops from the reserve and extended the service life of 20,000 reservists. The operation was called "Gideon's Chariots – 2".
