The expected new products from Apple may receive a number of key improvements, but revolutionary changes should not be expected. The main work of engineers is focused in three areas that directly affect the user experience, Kirill Lubnin, Vice President for Strategy and Development at KROS, told Izvestia on August 21.
"In terms of physical characteristics, there can be three ways to improve the user experience. Firstly, it is an upgrade of the technical characteristics of the cameras. A significant portion of the time when using smartphones is spent on photography, video shooting, and video calls. Users are very critical of the camera's capabilities, as it is also used in their social networks," he said.
According to him, the second key aspect is to improve the screen characteristics for comfortable viewing of content, where image quality and refresh rate are critical. The third point is the battery capacity and its physical dimensions. Modern batteries require increased capacity, fast charging, but at the same time compact size.
At the same time, the expert warns that most of these innovations have already been implemented in Android-based smartphones, so there are no significant changes to be expected.
"As for the foldable iPhone, it's a device that will be aimed at early adopters and true Apple fans. A number of prices have already been announced: for example, a clamshell is expected to cost $2,000, while other models are likely to cost the same as previous Apple models at the start of sales," Lubnin summed up.
Earlier, on August 1, it was reported that the tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump would result in costs for Apple and could cost almost $2 billion. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that, in his opinion, the duties imposed caused the greatest damage at the beginning of the year, when Trump began his trade standoff with China.
