The Soyuz 2.1b rocket was taken to the Baikonur launch complex.
The Soyuz 2.1b rocket was transported to the launch complex of the Baikonur cosmodrome. This was announced on August 19 by the press service of the Roscosmos Corporation in the Telegram channel.
The launch of the device together with the Bionm biosatellite No. 2 will take place on August 20. As part of the project, scientists will be able to observe the living organisms inside and study the effects of radiation and other aspects of space flight.
"Mice and flies will help scientists understand how space phenomena affect living organisms in a range where the level of cosmic radiation is about 30% higher than in low—Earth orbit," the organization said.
After launching and entering a high-latitude orbit, the satellite is expected to return to Earth after 30 days.
On July 25, a successful launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket took place at the Vostochny cosmodrome. After that, the Roscosmos state Corporation announced that two Ionosphere-M spacecraft had been launched into orbit after the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle. It was clarified that the upper stage continued to launch 18 small satellites into orbit.
