There is a magnetic storm on Earth due to the action of a coronal hole. This was announced on August 19 by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS in its Telegram channel.

"Judging by the explosive increase in the speed of the solar wind, the Earth has just plunged headlong into the coronal hole. Let's see how strong the magnetosphere is," the announcement says.

Experts noted that so far the magnetosphere is kept in the green zone.
