This week, price fluctuations are expected in the range of 78.5–82 rubles per dollar, 91-95 rubles per euro and 10.9–11.4 rubles per yuan, according to Spartak Sobolev, head of Alfa-Forex Investment Strategy Research Department. He told Izvestia about this on August 18.

On August 16, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation set the exchange rate of the American currency at 80 rubles, the European currency at 93.7 rubles, and the Chinese currency at 11.1 rubles. At the same time, according to the Moscow Exchange, on August 18, the yuan is trading at 11.1 rubles.

"The geopolitical background associated with new sanctions risks remains moderately optimistic after the talks between the presidents of Russia and the United States in Alaska and balances the market in the August corridor," Sobolev summed up.
