The Domol Donbas air defense and electronic warfare system has prevented 802 terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over the past week. This was announced on August 16 by the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia.

It is specified that 469 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 333 drones were eliminated over Gorlovka. During the attacks, Ukrainian militants continue to use the tactics of massive night raids.

"On the night of August 15, the enemy launched more than 20 aircraft-type attack drones at infrastructure and social facilities in the city of Yenakiyevo. Schools, kindergartens, energy and heat supply facilities were in the sights of enemy UAV operators," the message says.

An electronic warfare system managed to intercept most of the UAVs over Yenakiyevo, but one Ukrainian drone of the Fierce system nevertheless struck one of the schools in the city. The outskirts of Gorlovka continue to be raided by FPV drones, and the Dome of Donbass stops enemy attacks. Increased activity of aircraft-type reconnaissance drones, as well as "false drones" designed to open air defense systems guarding peaceful cities, has been recorded in Donetsk and Makeyevka.

"Explosives experts from the regional Directorate of the FSB of Russia worked at the crash sites of the suppressed drones. All explosive objects and components of the UAV have been seized and destroyed," the ministry concluded.

A week earlier, it was reported that the electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" prevented 799 terrorist attacks on the DPR from Ukraine in a week. 441 drones were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 358 over Gorlovka.
