As a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Two more civilians were injured in Belgorod by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on August 16 by the Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"In Belgorod, a drone struck a commercial building. A man nearby was injured in the shoulder and legs. Another man was injured by a drone strike on a car in the village of Malomikhailovka, Shebekinsky district," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Gladkov, the victims were hospitalized. The governor clarified that as a result of the detonation of the drone, a fire broke out in the building, and the glazing and facade were damaged. The fire was later extinguished by the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In addition, as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike, the vehicle was damaged.

Earlier, Ukrainian militants had already attacked the Belgorod region, as a result of the incident, several people were injured. As the correspondent of Izvestia, Emil Timashev, said, the drone hit the roadway of the city.

The footage shows the consequences of the attack by the Ukrainian military on the Belgorod region: a car was damaged due to the impact.

"An APU drone struck right in the middle of the roadway, damaging several cars. Fragments of UAVs are also scattered here. <...> It is noteworthy that there is a kindergarten just 10-15 meters from here," Timashev said.

According to him, the Ukrainian militants did not choose a specific target, but planned to strike at passing cars. The correspondent added that this increased the risk of civilian casualties.
