UK: six people evacuated during a fire on a ship in the Saratov region
Six passengers self-evacuated from a yacht that caught fire on the Volga River in the Khvalynsky district of the Saratov region. This was announced on August 16 by the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The ministry noted that the incident occurred on the morning of August 16. There were no casualties as a result of the incident, but the ship was significantly damaged. The amount of damage is being determined. Investigators have already inspected the scene and started to find out the causes of the yacht's fire.
In the Astrakhan region, on the morning of August 4, a man died due to a collision between a tugboat pusher "Rechnoy-81" and a small vessel in the Volga waters near Akhtubinsk. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of water transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence").
