Shor pointed to the West's attempts to destroy Soviet education
Over the past 30 years, Western countries have been making attempts to destroy Soviet education. This was stated on August 15 by Ilan Shor, leader of the opposition bloc Pobeda in the republic, during the international pedagogical forum "Eurasian Change".
"Unfortunately, for the last 30 years, the West has been doing everything to destroy Soviet education, the best that it had... The purpose of this was to destroy these good relations and what was cemented and created by the Soviet Union," Shor said.
The leader of the bloc also stressed that today one of the important tasks should be to recreate "the best that was in Soviet education."
According to him, history in Moldova has been rewritten many times. In addition, at the moment Western countries are trying to "impose" a departure from the Russian language.
As noted by State Duma Deputy Alyona Arshinova, Eurasia is already holding the second international forum "Eurasian Change". She clarified that this community, the Eurasian Pedagogical Council, was created last year.
"A thousand teachers from our continent of Eurasia take part in the Eurasian Pedagogical Council. We are getting closer, we are creating the only educational space on our continent with an emphasis on promoting the Russian language," she said.
Earlier, on June 4, the Moldovan parliament pointed to the destruction of the country by Moldovan President Maia Sandu for the sake of a position in the European Union (EU). It was clarified that she was applying for a position at the level of European Commissioner or Secretary of PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In addition, it was reported that Sandu, while still the head of the Moldovan Ministry of Education, "squeezed" the Russian language out of the compulsory school curriculum.
