A woman was injured due to an APU drone strike on a multi-storey building in Lisichansk.

A civilian was injured as a result of a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a multi-storey building in Lysychansk in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). This was announced on August 15 by the press service of the regional government.

"As a result of the attack, a large fire started. Two apartments were completely destroyed by fire, five more were damaged <...> As a result of the incident, a woman living in the house received burns," the Telegram channel says.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene were able to extinguish the fire three hours later. The fire was extinguished by 19 firefighters and six pieces of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On August 14, the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had received an order to increase the number of attacks on the territory of the LPR with operational-tactical cruise missiles and attack UAVs. He also clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants had intensified shelling of the territory of the republic in order to disrupt the Russian-American summit in Alaska.
