Putin arrives in Alaska for talks with Donald Trump
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Alaska on August 15, where he will hold talks with American leader Donald Trump, according to FlightRadar24.
The presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage at about 11:30 local time (22:30 Moscow time). The central topic of the talks will be the Ukrainian conflict.
Following the meeting, a press conference is planned with the participation of Putin and Trump.
On August 8, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15. Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov called the choice of a venue for negotiations logical and said that the economic interests of the states intersect in the region.
