The geomagnetic situation has completely stabilized, and the magnetic storm that lasted more than 30 hours has ended. This was announced on August 10 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.

"At the moment, the geomagnetic indexes have been in the green zone for about 10 hours," the Telegram channel said.

The press service noted that the G2 (moderate) magnetic storm lasted for more than 30 hours, which is the strongest surge since June. The peak coincided with the forecast. They also clarified that no repeat is expected in the next 2-3 days.

Earlier it was noted that a magnetic storm began on Earth on the night of August 8-9. It was clarified that a moderate level of magnetic storm was recorded, the source of which was the influence of the coronal hole.

On August 7, scientists predicted the strongest magnetic storm in two months on August 8. It was noted that the planet will be affected by the high-speed core of the cloud, and the impact on the magnetic field may be much stronger than the measuring systems showed a few days ago. The deterioration of the geomagnetic background will last a week.
