A new Class M flare occurred on the Sun on August 8.
A strong flare of the penultimate power class, M2.8, occurred on the Sun. This was reported on August 8 on the website of the E.K. Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics.
"At 06:53 Moscow time, an M2.8 flare was detected in the X—ray range in the group of spots 4168 (N04W43)," the message says.
According to the organization, the duration of the outbreak was 32 minutes.
The day before, scientists had already reported an M2.2 class solar flare. Then its duration was 25 minutes.
On August 5, at 18:53 Moscow time, the second M4.4 class flare lasting 12 minutes occurred in the Sun. In the morning, an outbreak of class M1.2 was recorded, its duration was 30 minutes.
