In Ukraine, a man in a fake ambulance helped avoid conscription
A resident of Kiev disguised his minibus as an ambulance to help residents of Ukraine escape from mobilization in other countries. This was reported on August 7 by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
"In Transcarpathia, a resident of Kiev was detained who, for money, "drove" draft evaders to the western border under the guise of emergency medical care patients," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the man disguised the minibus as an ambulance, equipped it with special signals and identification stickers. In order to pass through the checkpoints, he turned on flashing lights.
Several more residents of Ukraine in different regions were detained for transmitting information about mobile checkpoints of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine), as well as for assistance in crossing the border in the west of the country.
The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" on July 26 reported that residents of Poltava helped the mobilized to escape from the staff of the shopping center, blocking the passage of the bus. On the same day in Krivoy Rog, the townspeople did not allow the military commissars to pick up the man, blocking their way.
