Alcohol not only destroys the body, but also contains a large number of calories, nutritionist Natalia Pavlyuk said on Tuesday, August 5. According to her, dry wine can be considered the most "safe" among alcoholic beverages.

The expert noted that dry wine has less sugar and calories than other alcoholic beverages. In addition, it contains antioxidants, in particular resveratrol. Nevertheless, Pavlyuk, in an interview with Radio 1, stressed that from the point of view of health, it is better to completely abandon alcohol consumption, since it does not bring benefits.

Speaking about beer, the nutritionist pointed out that it contains various substances that distinguish it from "empty" drinks like vodka or moonshine. However, she cautioned: in medicine, beer alcoholism is singled out separately. In addition, in some cases, beer may contain harmful impurities, including copper, which is added to enhance the foaming effect. According to the expert, an excess of metal content was previously recorded in a number of samples.

Pavlyuk concluded that despite rare exceptions, beer should also be excluded from the diet, since its use can lead to addiction.

On August 4, Igor Bryntsalov, Speaker of the Parliament of the Moscow Region, announced that starting from September 1, the region intends to ban the sale of alcohol in residential courtyards. He also noted that in the Moscow region it will be prohibited to sell alcohol from 23:00 to 08:00 in cafes, bars and other catering outlets, except for restaurants.

In July, the chief narcologist of the Moscow region, Vitaly Holdin, warned that alcohol could provoke allergies. According to the doctor, wine and beer contain substances that can cause undesirable body reactions, including asthma attacks. 360.ru .

Also in July, nutritionist Elena Solomatina said that drinking beer in hot weather not only does not help quench thirst, but can also lead to health problems. According to RIAMO, natural beer has a high glycemic index and is able to increase blood glucose levels. This can lead to the development of metabolic syndrome, diabetes and obesity.

In March, nutritionist Anna Dolezhalova told Pravda.ru that daily beer consumption can lead to addiction, weight gain due to the high content of calories and sugars, and also overloads the kidneys and liver. In addition, it can disrupt the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates.
