In the Novgorod region, a garden house caught fire due to lightning

In the Ermolinsky rural settlement of the Novgorod region, a garden house caught fire as a result of a lightning strike. This was announced on Tuesday, August 5, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

It is specified that 10 specialists and three pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, four fires have already occurred this year due to a thunderstorm front in the Novgorod region.

"The most reliable way to secure your home is to install lightning protection on the roof," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

On the same day, a man died in a fire in an apartment building on Hvorostukhina Street in Tula. In addition, 18 people were evacuated, including six children. However, one man could not be saved.
