The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Charge d'affaires of Poland in connection with the planned anti-Belarusian rally in Warsaw. This was announced on August 5 by the press secretary of the department Ruslan Varankov.

"On August 9-10, an event is planned in Warsaw, on Pilsudski Square, as well as at the University of Warsaw, aimed at causing damage to the Republic of Belarus," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.

He stressed that the action would be held by representatives of the Belarusian emigration, who are supported by the Polish authorities and approve of their destructive activities against Belarus.

Varankov added that the Foreign Ministry proceeds from the fact that such hostile actions do not contribute to the restoration of normal dialogue between the states and directly harm Belarusian-Polish relations.

On July 1, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Poland and the Baltic states allow themselves to be turned into a military training ground. He noted that such a choice by the governments of these countries could lead to the fact that they "once again disappear from the world map."
