The Air Defense Forces successfully repelled a large-scale attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Rostov region. This was announced on August 5 by Acting Governor Yuri Slyusar.

"The military repelled a massive air attack in the Rostov region, destroying UAVs in Belaya Kalitva, Tatsinsky, Chertkovsky and Millerovsky districts," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the acting governor, as a result of the attack on Verkhnetalovka farm, a fire broke out at the substation. The fire, which covered an area of 500 square meters, was promptly eliminated.

In addition, in the village of Tatsinskaya, a canopy caught fire in the courtyard of a private house, but the fire was quickly extinguished, and none of the locals were injured, Slyusar stressed.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that last night air defense systems destroyed 24 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of the Russian Federation. According to the agency, 13 UAVs were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, seven over the Rostov region and two each over the territory of the Kaluga and Smolensk regions.
