Including more plant-based protein in the diet can help increase life expectancy, especially for men, who tend to consume less of it. This was announced on August 4 by nutritionist, gastroenterologist of the first category, executive director of ANO SIC "Healthy Nutrition" Nuriya Dianova.

"Men have a higher mortality rate than women in most age groups. Most often, death occurs suddenly between the ages of 40 and 60. But scientists have found that increasing the content of vegetable protein in the diet by up to 64% reduces the risk of death from cardiovascular diseases," the doctor said "Газете.Ru ".

Dianova explained that the main reason for this is the increased consumption of fiber from plant foods.
