The consideration of the criminal case against 19 perpetrators and accomplices of the terrorist act at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall will begin in one of the buildings of the Moscow City Court by the Second Western District Military Court on Monday, August 4. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow City Court.

"The trial in the criminal case of the terrorist attack in Crocus against 19 defendants will take place in one of the buildings of the Moscow City Court. The first meeting is scheduled for today at 11:00 Moscow time," TASS quoted court spokeswoman Irina Zhirnova as saying.

It is specified that this case will be heard by a panel consisting of three judges. The hearing itself, which will ensure "unprecedented" security measures in court, will begin in an open mode. At the same time, the process itself will be held in a closed mode from media representatives and listeners due to the classified information available in the materials.

Lawyer Lyudmila Aivar, who represents 115 victims at once, told the agency that the request of some of the accused to return the case materials for further investigation was rejected, as well as their request to end criminal prosecution against them.

A correspondent of Izvestia who attended the preliminary meeting of the Second Western Military Court on July 21 said that four defendants in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, namely Zubaydullo Ismoilov, Jabrail Aushev, Dzhumakhon Kurbonov and Isroil Islomov (all included in the list of terrorists and extremists) asked the court to stop their criminal prosecution. Three more defendants requested a jury trial for themselves.
