An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 occurred in New Jersey. This was announced on August 3 by the New York City Office of Emergency Management.

"An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 has been reported in New Jersey or its surroundings," the agency said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It is specified that the tremors could be felt in some areas of New York. Emergency management personnel are currently clarifying the extent of the damage. No global impacts or casualties were reported.
