In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a section of a locomotive, being part of a freight train, derailed in the Nizhneingashsky district of the region. This was announced on August 1 by the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The incident, according to preliminary data, occurred at about 12:00 p.m. (08:00 Moscow time) between the stations of Reshoty and Klyuchi of the Krasnoyarsk Railway.

"Restoration work has been organized on the section of the track, delays in train traffic are expected," the department warned in the Telegram channel.

The Ilan Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the implementation of the law on traffic safety and operation of railway transport.

On July 23, the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation began an inspection after the derailment and overturning of a shunting locomotive in the Khabarovsk Territory. The incident occurred on July 22 on the railway tracks of Amur TPP-1, along which a locomotive with gondola cars loaded with coal was traveling from the Mylka station to the unloading point. Previously, the locomotive driver violated the safety rules when operating the train.
